As most of you already know I am not the best at blogging, writing and keeping up with a blog. I am hoping to change that. God has been working in our small family for a while now. While both heath and I have been praying for God's guidance on where to live after we sold our house pretty fast (Thanks to our awesome realtor Rachel Thomas.) we could never agree or find one we liked. Every time we found a house or a house plan nothing seemed "right" or what we were looking for.
One day Heath randomly wanted to know what I thought about a different career choice and, I was shocked when I heard him say he had been thinking about the military. Not because I don't like the military but because I am NOT good with change and I just did not know he had been thinking about the military. While I was shocked at first, after praying about it and thinking about it God was showing us our next Journey in life. It is amazing how God's timing for everything is so perfect. Heath and I decided to take time and pray about it and make sure this is the direction we felt like God was calling us to go.
With all that said Heath has joined the United States Air Force and will be leaving for basic on June 4, 2013. We are very excited about how God is working in our family. We are excited about the opportunities to travel, make new friends, and share God's word wherever we go. Did I mention I LOVE to travel because I really am excited about that part. We feel like this career change is best for our family in so many ways.
While we do know the military lifestyle is not the perfect lifestyle (what is?) we do know that when we know God is leading us to do something we better do it. Instead of making a Facebook Announcement and having people ask lots of questions I would try to squeeze it all into one post. Thank you for taking the time to read and discover how God is working in our lives. I would love if ya'll would keep us in your prayers as we make a huge transition into a new chapter in our lives!
